Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27th August 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Orklys ApS ("Orklys", "we", "us") uses on www.orklys.com, what each one does, and how you can change your choice at any time.

Cookies are small files stored on your device by your browser. We also use comparable browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage); wherever this policy says "cookies", it covers those too.

1. Your choice

When you first visit the site we ask whether we may use non-essential cookies. You can accept all, reject all, or choose per category. Rejecting is always exactly one click, the same as accepting.

To change your mind later, use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page. Your choice takes effect immediately.

We ask again after 12 months, and sooner if we add a new purpose or provider.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent and cannot be switched off, because the site cannot function without them.

2. Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to work — signing in, remembering your language, keeping the service secure. They are set because you asked for a service that needs them.

CookieSet byPurposeRetention
__session, __client_uat, __clerk_db_jwtClerkKeeps you signed in and secures your sessionSession to 7 days

3. Analytics

Used only with your consent. These help us understand which pages are useful so we can improve them.

We use PostHog Cloud EU (hosted in Frankfurt). Analytics consent also enables session replay — a reconstruction of how pages were used. All form inputs are masked, so what you type is not recorded.

If you decline, PostHog still counts the visit, but without storing anything on your device: a short-lived identifier is derived on the server from a daily-rotating value that we delete each day. It cannot be reversed, cannot follow you between days, and no cookie is written.

4. Marketing

Used only with your consent. These let us measure which advertising brings people to Orklys.

CookieSet byPurposeRetention
_gcl_auGoogleMeasures which ad led to a sign-up or enquiry90 days
test_cookie, IDEGoogle (DoubleClick)Checks cookie support and measures ad performanceSession to 13 months

We use Google Consent Mode. Until you accept marketing cookies, Google's tag runs without storing or reading anything on your device.

5. Other services embedded in our pages

Some pages embed third parties that may set their own cookies when you interact with them — Calendly (meeting booking), Typeform (forms) and Google Maps. These load as part of the feature you are using rather than through this banner. Their own privacy notices apply.

6. Blocking cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site from working — you may not be able to sign in.

7. Legal basis and your rights

We rely on your consent for analytics and marketing cookies (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 3 of the Danish cookie order). Strictly necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning service.

We keep a record of the consent you gave — the categories, the time, and the version of this policy — so we can demonstrate it if asked. That record contains no name, email address or IP address.

You can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

8. Contact

Orklys ApS is the data controller. Questions about this policy: habla@orklys.com.

You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.dk.
